Well-know to naturalists around the world for its numerous species of indigenous and exotic plants (giant water lilies, talipot palms), Pamplemousses Botanical Garden will enchant you. Pierre Poivre created this impressive garden in 1767 under the governorship of Mahe de La Bourdonnais.
 
Sugar World
 

Enter a majestic industrial cathedral that will unveil the complexity of our sugar industry during a guided visit. You will also visit the Village-Boutik where a wide range of products associated with sugar, souvenirs, exclusive and refined accessories are on sale.

 
La Vanille, Reserve des Mascareignes
 

Nestled on the South coast of the island, this natural reserve will unveil an evergreen forest where lives 500 giant tortoises and Nile crocodiles. You may also visit an insectarium boasting 20,000 species of insects.

 
Casela Nature & Leisure Park
 

This magnificent bird park stretches over 25 hectares of luxuriant surroundings. Casela Nature & Leisure Park hosts some 140 species of colourful birds from around the world among which the Mauritian Pink Pigeon, one of the rarest birds in the world, tortoises, monkeys, lemurs, tigers and a small interactive farm.

 
Chamarel
 

A sinuous road, overlooking Le Morne, Benitiers island and the crystal clear lagoon of the South East coast, will lead you to Chamarel. This site unveils a kaleidoscope of undulating and contrasting shade of colours. It is said that these surprisingly colourful dunes are the result of the erosion of volcanic ash. Undoubtedly, the land of Seven Colours, the neighbouring waterfalls together with the friendly approach of the inhabitants of this region should not be missed.

 
A touch of local aroma
 

Bois Cheri and its evergreen surroundings... Discover a traditional facet of Mauritius by visiting a tea plantation. This plant was introduced in Mauritius in 1770 by famous botanist Pierre Poivre. You will be initiated to the art of picking tea leaves. Afterwards, you will head towards a chalet, overlooking an exceptional panoramic view of the South, for tea tasting before proceeding to Saint Aubin, a masterpiece of colonial architecture, and a vanilla plantation.

 
Ile aux Cerfs
 

Floating in the most extraordinary emerald lagoon, ile aux Cerfs awaits all sun seekers. After a short boat trip, you will step on this heavenly islet. Two restaurants where you may taste delicious cuisine, a fully equipped boathouse and kilometres of smooth bed of golden sand will help make your journey a memorable one.

 
Curepipe/Grand Bassin/Plaine Champagne/Chamarel Mystical discovery
 

Step into the heart of Hinduism as you discover the Sacred Lake of Grand Bassin. A most impressive statue of Shiva of 38 meters tall - the tallest of the Indian Ocean - overlooks this holy pilgrimage site, permanently watched over by Brahman priests. The mystical and peaceful atmosphere prevailing will fascinate you.

Trou aux Cerfs, an extinct volcano of about 700,000 years old, the National Park of Black River Gorges and Chamarel, a geological rarity made of undulating coloured earth, will unveil a contrasting and surprising world.

 

 

Ville Noire/Mahebourg/Blue Bay/Domaine du Chasseur
 

Discover a touch of local aroma while visiting a biscuit factory specialised in the manufacture of cassava biscuits based on ancient family recipes. You will be able to mingle with the inhabitants as you shop at a typical and colourful market in Mahebourg before proceeding to Domaine du Chasseur, a wild and captivating reserve nestled between land and sea. Stop at a handicraft boutique. A vivid chapter of the Mauritian history will unveil itself to you at Fort Hendrik Museum.

 
Mahebourg Museum /Ile des Deux Cocos
 

Mahebourg, an authentic and lively fishermen village lying on the South East coast of the island, will unveil its natural beauty amidst a variety of colourful landscape that will carry you across the years. You will be charmed by the Naval Museum where you will find the last vestiges of a past era inhabited by the sound of old cannons, reminiscence of fierce naval battles.

 

You will then sail to ile des Deux Cocos, a private islet sheltering a historic villa, to play modern Robinson. Visit of the island and the Villa Follies, former residence of Sir Esketh Bell who was one of the first British Governors of Mauritius followed by swimming and snorkelling in one of the most beautiful lagoon of the island.

You will, then, proceed to the Central Market before moving to the Caudan Waterfront, the modern facet of Port Louis, for a full shopping.

Two itineraries are on offer. North coast: Hop on board Le Pacha and glide along the North coast, from Grand Bay, to visit il?abriel, a natural haven. South East coast: The Shandrani will sail along the South East coast from Blue Bay. This cruise will head to  aux Cerfs where nature has created idyllic scenery.
